Notes In 1887, William Devrick, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from the Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Wm. Derrick, aged 11. From Wolverhampton Union. Placed with S. J. Foreman, Pembroke, Ontario.?The child is troubled with sore ears and eyes and also with epilepsy, is a good boy, but the lady thinks that she cannot keep the child ; is very fairly placed, and well dressed."
