Notes In 1887, Mary Ann McCann, 4 (along with sister, Elizabeth McCann, 9), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Mary Ann McCann, aged 4. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Cyril Peltier, Miller's Lane, near to 251, Montreal St., Kingston City.?Stubborn at times, but improving, generally giving satisfaction, too young to attend school, well cared for, and pleased with her home."
