Notes In 1887, Esther Kelly, 7, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Esther Kelly, aged 10. From West Derby Union. Placed with William Lambert, Montreal Street, at Kingston and Pembroke Railway Crossing, Kingston City.?Stubborn at limes, but generally giving satisfaction; not attending school, but taught at home; in 2nd reader; pleased with her place and treatment."
