Notes In 1887, James Vincent, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

James Vincent, aged 12. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Michael Furlong, Lot 3 in 8th Con., Wolfe Island.?Giving satisfaction, without fault, will attend school during winter, can read and write, in good home, and pleased with his place."
