Notes In 1887, Thomas Smith, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Thomas Smith, aged 11. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Patk. Hennesy, Lot 5 in 10th Con., Wolfe Island.?Delicate, but generally giving satisfaction; in good home and kindly treated, not attending school, will do so. Did not see the boy."
