Notes In 1887, James Boyland, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

James Boylan, aged 12. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Edward Jordan, Lot 6 in 7th Con. (not 2nd Con. as given in list) Richmond Tp., Forest Mills P.O.?Giving full satisfaction, no fault, in good home, and well treated, will be sent to school during winter."
