Notes In 1887, Mary Ellen Rush, 6, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Mary E. Rush, aged 6. From parish of Liverpool. Placed with Timothy Brushingham, Lot 39 in 1st Con., Camden, Yarker P.O.? Giving full satisfaction, great pet, in superior home, will be sent to school (D.V.) next year, delighted with her home and treatment."
