NotesThomas is found living with his widowed mother, Catherine at 5 Warren Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, in 1881. She stated she was a laundress. Catherine died in the December quarter of 1882. She was 34 years of age. Judging from the date of her death, she must have been too ill to care for Thomas and allowed him to be taken into care just before her final days.

He is not located on either the 1901 or 1911 Canadian census, nor has any marriage or death record yet been found.
