Age 12, owing to the death of Mrs McKenzie, this girl has been returned to Mrs Birts receiving home, Knowlton, where she will remain and be employed as a general servant.
December 15 1902
I saw Maud Brown at Mrs Birts home today, she has every comfort here and is properly looked after. Before being re-placed, the Superintendant informs me, she will have her instructed in general housework and cooking. She is a bright, intelligent girl and quite contented to remain here. Her health is good.
