Notes In 1891, William Davidson, 8, residing in Royal Berkshire Hospital, St Giles, Berkshire
Sent by Reading Union, placed with Stanley Walker, farmer, Connifton, Hastings, Ontario. Inspection undertaken on 13 Feb 1897
Age about 14, very comfortable home, employed at light work about house and stables, health-this boy has been treated in England for 7 ulcers or scrofula on head and neck, scars remain. At present only two on neck near the ears are inflamed, and a little pus oozes ocassionally, otherwise health good. This boy requires medical treatment immediately. Boy gives employer satisfaction. Attends church regularly, home tuition, character good, Terms-Board, Lodging and Clothes during winter, $3.50 per month during summer.
