Notes Sent by Middlesbrough Union
April 8 1896, with Fred S Baker, farmer, Marlbank, Hastings, Ontario
Age 11, comfortable home, works on farm, good health, attends school during 3 months in the year and sunday school regularly. Mr Baker stated that at first the boy was stubborn so much that the teacher was going to send him away from school, has improved somewhat since. The boy would not like to be removed and was satisfied with his home, boarded, lodged and clothed.
