April 13 1896, with Harry Macdonald, farmer. Belleville, Hastings, Ontario
Age 11, comfortable home, employed around house and barn, at the time of inspection he was suffering from sore feet but medical inspection made shortly afterwarrds resulted in the doctor certifying that he had a slight chafing of the heel but that he had recovered and required no treatment, on account of his sore feet he had been unable to attend either school or church, good character-to be boarded, lodged and clothed.
