with George H Berry, Berryton, Ontario
George has a model home and Mrs B is very kind to him, and he appreciates it by helping Mrs B around the house, being a good cook he usually gets breakfast. He has learned to milk the cows and drive the horses

George has been in good health and grown a lot since last visited, as fond of his home as ever. Mr Berry is pleased with the progress he has made with his work and at school in the winter. Receiving $2.00 a month. Goes to church and Sunday school
regularly.
below is a letter sent by George to Rev Wallace found in the Union Records, not dated though.
Rev Wallace, Marchmont Home, Belleville
Dear Sir, I hope you spent your Christmas happy and joyfully and I was very ? you sent me that present the second day before Christmas and they were very nice. Many thanks to you and Mrs Wallace for remembering me and I hope that your New year will be very nice and I was to ?? Mr Berry ? Mother for my dinner. I had goose and currant pie and it was very nice. I had candy and orange and I had three Christmas boxes and I have been going to school since Mr Grey was here to see me. He gave me a very nice Jack Knife and some very nice books and I hope you and Mrs Wallace are well. We are going to have an entertainment and New years tree in the M.E? Church on New Years Night. I have a part in it. I wish you could be here and see us all. I have not found out where my brother is yet. We have no snow here yet. I don't no very much about the winters in Canada. I saw one of the boys that came from England with me at the Lyndhurst Fair,

George and Mr Berry were away from home when I called but I had a good account of G from Mrs Berry. He is healthy and growing big and stout. Attended school last winter and got on very well. Is in the 3rd book. Mr and Mrs B are still pleased with him.
