Arthur is in a good home, he is the only boy in the family so gets many privileges. He likes Canadian farm life and is anxious to learn everything in connection with it. He is honest, obedient but sometimes untruthful. Attends church and Sunday school. Will go to school during the winter.

Arthur likes his home and would not care to leave. Was attending school last Winter. Has good health. Goes regularly to church and Sunday school.
June 9 1896, with William Parkes, Fallowfield, Ontario
Arthur left Mr Craig last February now with Mr Parkes, not a bad boy but not very bright, seems to be doing fairly well, getting wages this year. Does not attend school now, very fond of reading.
