NotesFrederick Allen was admitted from Ashford School to Paddington Union on July 10, 1889, boarded out in Ongar, England, and discharged March 2, 1891, 'To Canada.'

In 1891, Frederick Allen (age illegible), arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 177 Marchmont Home children en route to Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

[POSSIBLE MATCH] On March 24, 1916, at Buckingham, Quebec, Canada, Frederick William Allen, 38, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces (No. 297333). He declared that he resided in Buckinghm, Quebec, Canada; that he was born in London, England; that his next of kin was his wife, Annie Allen, who resided in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada; that his date of birth was July 24, 1878; and that he was a laborer. He was described as 5 foot 4-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
