NotesGranddaughter, Linda Smith, relates family lore that Margaret's parents were missionaries that served and died together of yellow fever in Northern China.

In 1886, Margaret Lewis, 6, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 109 children en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

On December 1, 1898, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Maggie Lewis, 20, birplace not stated, parents William Lewis and mother's name not known; and Joseph Prince, 32, farmer, birthplace not stated, parents Tobias Prince and Eliza Goheen.

In 1901, Margaret Prince, 22, is shown residing at Chisholm and Boulter, Nipissing, Ontario, Canada, along with her husband, Joseph Prince, 34, railroad labourer; and daughter Ethel M. Prince, 1. Her date of birth is shown as December 18, 1878 and her immigration year as 1885.

In 1911, Margaret Prince, 30, is shown residing at Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. Her date of birth is shown as December 1880 and her immigration year as 1888. Other family members included: husband, Joseph Prince, 44, sectionman; and children: Ethel May Prince, 11; Joseph A. Prince, 9; Mary Jane Prince, 7; Nelson Prince, 1 month; George A. Prince, 5; Myrtle M. Prince, 2.

The couple had ten children: Walter Edward Prince; Ethel May Prince; Alfred Joseph Prince; Mary Jane Prince; George Albert Prince; Myrtle Margaret Prince; Thomas Nelson Prince; Elizabeth E. Prince; William John Prince; and Nora Agnes Prince.

Margaret Eugena Lewis Prince died in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on January 24, 1936, at the age of 57. Her husband, Joseph Prince, died February 28, 1931, at the age of 64.
