Catherine was placed in Glasgow Rottenrow Industrial Home age 6yrs 2mths in 1875
until 1882 then she was moved to Maryhill Home, Glasgow until one month after her
17th birthday when she was sent to Canada. Next record of Catherine is of her lodging
with a Maxwell Family, Nova Scotia, Halifax, District No 33, Ward 5a, age 20, Servant.
Probable record for Catherine’s return to Glasgow; "Katie Duffy, ship Lake Superior,
from Montreal, arriving Liverpool, England on 24 Sep 1894, age 24 and domestic."
