Parents: Henry Abbott (son of William Abbott) and Mary Ann Lee (daughter of Joseph Lee), married October 13, 1845, Rebourn, Hertfordshire, England.

In 1872, Frederick Abbott, 17, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 10 young persons from Middlesex Industrial School.

On December 27, 1875, a marriage was recorded between Frederick Abbot and Elizabeth Harford Silcocks (daughter of Charles Harford and Mary Silcocks) at Grey, Ontario, Canada. Frederick stated that he was 23 years of age; that he was born in Wheathampstead (Hertfordshire), England; that he was a harness maker; and that his parents names were Henry and Mary Ann Abbott.

Frederick Abbott died on January 17, 1923, at 78 Manor Road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His death was reported by his son, Llewellyn Abbott of 25 East Roberts Street, Meaford, Ontario, Canada. His death was caused by pernicious anaemia (6 years duration).
