In 1881. Emily Alder, 21, residing with husband Robert and 2 children Emily aged 1 and Robert aged 4 months in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ont

The infant Edith hat she gave birth to, died on 30 August 1895 aged 3 weeks of malnutrition.

In 1901, Robert Alder was living in Hamilton, Wentworth with his 5 surviving children.
