Notes I discovered Rachael Daniels at the age of 18 arriving at the Port of Quebec on the SS Moravian on May 30, 1870 as a steerage passenger in cabin area 439 with a group of 10 "spinsters" from the Ragged Schools in East London as sponsored by the Earl of Shaftesbury.

Comments:47 young men and women all classed as `labourers'.
In the two adjacent compartments were 19 males between the ages of 14 and 17 also from the Ragged School of East London. The Notation on the Passenger Manifest indicate that 20 boys and 12 girls on board from the Ragged Schools, Earl of Shaftesbury, President.
