Clifford attended school a part of the winter but on account of weak ankles could not attend as regularly as other ways might have done. He is well liked in his home and would not care to care to leave it. Is always treated as though he were their own child. Enjoys good health. Attends Church and Sunday school.

He declared that he resided in Hinton, Ontario, Canada; that he was born in England; that he had no relations living to his knowledge as next of kin, he had worked for James Cranston in Sterling, Ontario, Canada, for 14 years; that his date of birth was May 24, 1890; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 3 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair. He was a member of the Church of England.

On October 7, 1926, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Clifford Hennings, 30, filer, born in Epsom, England, foster parents James and Ellen Cranston; and Beatrice Mosher, 28, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, to James Mosher and Louisa Frederick.

At least one child was born on this marriage: Robert Hennings, born November 20, 1926, died March 16, 1938 of septicaemia and osteomyelitis.
