NotesI am looking for info re my Father Ernest Patterson and his Brother William who as orphans immigranted to Quebec Canada in 1902 at ages 11 and 10 respectively. I found Ernest in the 1911 census living with the Percy Bresee family Sutton Que. No info re William but I do have unconfirmed info that he died in 1910 and had been living with the T M Smith family Sutton Que. I have found that both Ernest and William arrived in Portland Maine USA enroute by train to Canada. The ship was the SS Colonian departing Liverpool 21 April 1902 arriving Portland Sept. 1902. They came with a Mrs. L. Birt so presumably enroute to the Knowlton House in the Eastern Quebec Townships. At present no information has been found to whom they were indentured. Any information regarding where to look for Knowlton House records would be most appreciared.
