His Next of Kin was his sister, Miss Mable Pegg of 26 St. Stephens Road, Bayswater, England. 5' 5 1/2" in height with brown hair and dark brown eyes. His religion was listed as Methodist.

Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that he was Killed in Action, hit by enemy machine gun fire and killed instantly during an attack at Vis-en-Artois, Nord Pas de Calais, France. Next of Kin was Mrs. W. R. Williams of 43 Garden Road, Peckham Rye, and then Mrs. M. Williams of 27 Ainsley Wood Road, Larkwood Cottage, Chingford, Essex, England.
