Upon arrival, she declared that her next of kin was her mother, Mrs Margaret Allen, who resided at 43 Dark St, Belfast, Ireland; her destination was to Mr John Hobday, 538 Jarvis St, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and her intended occupation was as a domestic.

The March 5, 1931, Barnardo's Ups & Downs, VOL XXXIII, reported from Kathleen Allen that she was "being treated as one of the family."
