In 1892, Davinia Harper, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 7 Scottish children accompanied by Miss Stirling, Edingburgh, Scotland, and en route to Aylesford, Nova Scotia, Canada.

On October 8, 1896, at Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA, a marriage was registered between Davina Harper, 19, domestic, born in Edinboro, Scotland, to John and (mother unknown) Harper; and John Daley, 21, teamster, born in Edinboro, Scotland, to James Harper and Jane McKay.

At least 7 children were born of this marriage: Margaret Davina Daley, born August 10, 1898, at Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA; Edith A. Daley, born about 1907 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA; John A. Daley, born about 1916 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA; Gertrude R Daley, born about 1911 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA; and James Archibald Daley, born October 12, 1913, at Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA, died August, 17, 1928, Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.

On July 27, 1897, John Daley, 21, laborer, and Davina Harper Daley, 19, returned to Great Britain on the ship Pavonia.

In 1949, John and Davina Harper Daley were residing at 175 Middlesex Street, Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.

On April 14, 1950, at 79 Midland Street, Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA, Davina Harper Daley, 72, died. Her obituary in the Lowell Sun stated:

MRS. DAVINA DALEY

Mrs. Davina (Harper) Daley of 79 Midland street, where she had resided for the past two years, and a former resident of North Chelmsford, where she had resided for over 50 years, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Desrochers, 18 Bellevue street, following a brief illness, aged 72 years. She is survived by her husband, John Daley; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Desrochers, Mrs. William Hutton, Miss Esther Daley and Mrs. Clifford Lloyd, all of this city; two sons, Donald Daley of Portland, Me. and John A. Daley of this city; a brother, Robert Harper of North Chelmsford; several granchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Matthews Memorial church, and the Dorcas Bible Class. Mrs. Daley was born in Edinboro, Scotland, daughte of the late David and Isabelle (Hunter) Harper, and came to this country as a young girl, where about a year later she married Mr. Daley, they having celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in October of 1946.
