"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.
Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent at Hamilton, Ontario.
Ann Walker, aged 10, from Guildford Union, placed with Jonathan Green, storekeeper, Chatsworth, Ontario. Adopted; is untruthful, pilfers, forgetful, fairly intelligent, goes to day and Sunday school, and attends church. This is a good home and the child is well cared for, and Mrs. Green states that there are signs of improvement and she has strong hopes of reforming her."
