with George Miskell, farmer, P.O Osceola, Renfrew, Ontario

Age 16, satisfactory home, employed at farm work, health good, attends church, does not attend school, character fair. Terms-Board and Clothing. This lad is satisfied with his place. He gets along all right with Mr Miskell, but he does not agree with Mrs Miskell. He states that he does not like doing chores about the house. Mrs Miskell was absent from home so I was unable to interview her.

with Mrs John Miskell, farmer, P.O Osceola, Renfrew, Ontario

June 28 1900

About 15 years of age, fair home, employed at farm chores, a healthy robust boy, attends Roman Catholic Church, does not attend school-fair scholar, character-Mrs Miskell says that he is unreliable. Terms-Board and Clothing, no wages. His employer states he is not obedient, and does not give her satisfaction, and she cannot put up with him, as soon as his time is up she will let him go. He has been with them for two years. Sullivan says that he likes his place, gets along agreeably with Mr Miskell, but not so with Mrs Miskell, when the daughter is at home things go more smoothly.

with Michael T Sheedy, Osceola, Bromley Twp, Renfrew, Ontario

September 10 1902

About 17 years of age, this youth now considers himself out of the Societys control. He is working out amongst farmers of this district. I saw him today at Mr P Gormans, Bolger, Renfrew, where he is employed during the harvest at $14 per month and board.
He is a sturdy looking chap and quite capable of taking care of himself. The people for whom he is working speak well of him. During the winter months he works in the lumber shanties
