About 14 years of age, good home, employed at laundry work and sewing, attends Roman Catholic Church, does not attend school, she can read and write, character-there has been an improvement in her character since coming here. Terms-kept for training and disciple. She is a large girl for her age; is rather childish in her manner. She will remain here, the Superior thinks about two years. Susan McSoley was placed with (1st) Mrs McTavish, Longueuil, Quebec, (2nd) Mrs Demartigny, St Denis Street, Montreal, Mrs Dermartigny found her noisy and unmanageable, and feared that her influence with her children might not be good;
(3rd) Mrs Jackson, Berthelet Street, Montreal, Mrs Jackson found her untidy and unsuitable. (4th) Mrs Labelle, Longueuil, who did not consider her safe with her children

December 26 1902

About 17 years of age, Susan McSoley is still here. She is a very neat looking girl and thoroughly healthy. Her employment consists of ironing in the laundry, and the Sister advises me that she is quite proficient. She did not strike me as being contented, and has a strong desire to go to her sister, who is at Winnipeg, I understand
