NotesCecil was one of 30 children aged 6 to 13 who arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia from Southampton aboard 'Moreton Bay' in October 1934, bound for Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra. He was 9 years old.

Cecil served in WWII - birthdate incorrectly recorded:

Cecil died in 1994 aged 70 and is memorialised at Karrakatta Lance Howard Memorial Gardens, W1 70, with his wife Mary (b. 1911) who died 14 Aug 1980 aged 69.

Mary's first husband Bernard Murtough TERRY (married in 1936) was killed by a landmine in WWII in 1942 (RAAF). They had 3 sons. Mary and her youngest son were active members of the Communist Party (NAA RecordSearch).

Cecil was much younger than Mary (perhaps why his year of birth is incorrectly provided?).
