NotesMargaret Eugenie Blanche Baker, born September 27, 1879, was admitted to Barnardo's July, 1891, along with her brother Joseph Baker. Apparently there was another child, Ernest Arthur, born about 1886, who was left in the care of his mother. Other family members included: Margaret's father Ernest Baker, (born about 1856) emigrated to Perth, Western Australia in 1890; her paternal grandfather Joseph Baker, (born 1805) was living at 14 Nelson Square, Blackfrairs; an Aunt Pricilla who was married to Henry Clawson; Uncle Albert (or Albert James); Margaret's mother, Caroline; and her maternal grandmother, Sarah Parsons, who was living at 36 Stamford Street with her two sons, James and John.

In 1895, Margaret E. Baker, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 298 children accompanied by Mr. Owens en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

On September 5, 1904, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Margaret E. B. Baker, 24, born in England to Ernest A. Baker and Caroline H. Parsons; and Harvey Albert White, 25, driver, born in Canada to Luke White and Fanny Town.

In 1911, Marguerite White, 31, is shown residing in 123 Sherton(?), Hamilton East, Ontario, Canada, along with her husband, Harvey White, 31, motorman for the railroad; and their childrend: Arthur White, 15; Mabel White, 2; and Dorothy White, 7 months.
