Age 16, excellent home, employed at general work about the farm, very healthy boy, attends Methodist church-a fair scholar, character-truthful, obedient and honest. Terms-Wages $24 1st, $40 2nd, $52 3rd years respectively. Benjamin Brown gives his employer entire satisfaction. He takes an interest in his work; is a bright lad; and learns to do things easily; is making good progress. Brown likes farming; is treated well, and has no desire to leave. He has a good situation.

Brown had a good situation here and was quite a steady chap. His apprenticeship expired, and he left a fortnight previous to my calling to see him. Mr Hall found him an industrious fellow and until a short time since he gave them no cause for complaint. He alleges that Brown committed a very reprehensible act, which was the cause of him leaving, otherwise he would have engaged him for another year. His conduct had been exemplary, and he had taken a deep interest in church work. Mr Hall could not furnish me with Browns address.
