YOUTHS REMANDED

This morning at the court house before Mr. Justice Bain, Albert Pitts and Robert Franksky were brought up charged with breaking into Boyd's bakery, and stealing a quantity of stuff worth about $6. Pitts is 17 and Franksky 19. Pitts asked the judge to send him to the penitentiary in order that he might learn a trade. Franksky did not want to be sent to the penitentiary. The boys were sent back to jail, as Mr. Maclean who appeared for the crown desired to correspond with the manager of the Barnardo home here, under whose auspices Pitts was sent out to this country about a year ago.
