NotesParents: William Edward Imms and Louisa Jane Mersey Pusey Prodgers, never married. William Imms was a married man when he fathered both Sidney Imms Prodgers and Hollie Imms Prodgers (August 16, 1885) in Westminster, Middlesex, England. At the time of Sidney's birth, William and Louisa were lodging with a Miss Kates who was a worker in connection with the M.A.B.Y.S. (The Metropolitan Association for Befriending Youth Servants) This address was listed on both Hollie and Sidney's birth certificates.

William took charge of the "Green Man" Public House Blackfriars, sending money to Louisa, but the money quit coming. In January 1889 William leaves the Green Man with no address, but wrote Louisa telling her she will have to do the best she can on her own.

On November 27, 1889, Louisa contacted Barnardos Homes. She sold her house and most of her furniture to fend for her children but could no longer do so. Sidney was signed over to the orphanage. On December 11, 1889, Sidney arrived at Babies Castle, Hawkhurst, Kent, England.

In 1891 William was shown residing with a woman named Alice who is shown as his wife. He died in 1912 at the age of 66 in London.

In 1892, Sidney was being fostered at Goudhurst, Kent, England.

In 1899,on the "Scotsman" 11 year old Sidney arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 169 Barnardo boys; two to Saint John, New Brunswick, 82 to Toronto, Ontario; 44 to Winnipeg, Manitoba; and 39 to Russell, Manitoba, accompanied by Salvation Army Women.

On November 4, 1910, Sydney Prodgers, 22, farmer, returned to the United Kingdom on the ship Empress of Britain. He traveled with his friend, John Barwell, 21, farmer, another Barnardo boy, whom Sidney met while John was placed with a family down the road from Sidney's placement family, the Dash's son's family.

On March 28, 1911, Sidney Prodgers and John Barwell returned from the United Kingdom on the ship Royal George. Their destination was Windthust, Saskatchewan, Canada.

On April 7, 1917, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Sidney Prodgers, 28, enlisted in the Canadian Expedition Force. He declared that he resided in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, Canada; that he was born in Kent, England; that his next of kin was his friend Albert Glydon, who resided in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, Canada; that his date of birth was September 24, 1888; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 8 inches in height; puddy complexion; grey eyes; brown hair. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

On February 7 1928 at Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada, Sydney Prodgers married Kathleen Lix (daughter of Leonard Lix and Khristinia Rochert). Four children were born of this marriage. The youngest of the children , Stanley Gene Prodgers born June 10 1934, died on February 1 1939. There remaining three children are still living as of Sept 2012.

Sidney Imms Prodgers died on February 19, 1961, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada. Kathleen Lix Prodgers died On December 31, 1983, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As of August 16 2012 Sidney has had 20 grandchildren, 17 of which are still alive. Sidney's grandchildren have given him 48 great grandchildren, 2 of whom have passed away, these great grandchildren have give Sidney 40 great great grandchildren for a total of 112 decendents of which 106 are still alive!
