NotesGladys father Henry left England in 1906 to find work way of Canada, on to the USA. Gladys mother died in 1914 of TB. Gladys grandmother Ellen had taken Gladys and her siblings to care for them.(yr unknown) When Ellen's legs were ailing her she could no longer care for the children. She took them to Barnardo's, (yr unknown). Gladys arrived in Canada, Hazlebra Home, age 15, March 1920. She left Canada in August 1920, age 16.
Her brother Albert Edward Leona, (BHC), search for Gladys for 50 yrs.. found her living in Seattle.
