On December 3, 1913, at Hazelbrae, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Lilias Tarrant, 13, died of heart disease.

In March, 1926, Irene Marjorie Tarrant, 23, arrived at the Port of Boston, Massachusetts, USA, on the SS Baltic, arriving from Liverpool, England. On June 19, 1928, Irene Tarrant, 25, domestic servant, arrived at the Port of New York, New York, USA, on the SS Paris from La Havre, France. She declared that she was British; that she was born in Dartford, England; that her final destination was New York; that her nearest relative in England was the Family of Mrs. E. Longhurst Barns, who resided at Cottage Hawley, Kent, England; that her employer was Mrs. Russell Pope, who resided at 4 East 81st Street, New York City, New York; that she intended to remain in the US permanently. She was described as 5 foot 6 inches in height; fair complexion; brown hair; blue eyes.
