NotesIn 1905, Alfred Nunny, 11 (along with brother, Stephen Nunney, 13) arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 42 children from the Catholic Emigration Association en route to St. George's Home, Hintonburg, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

On September 13, 1915, at Belleville, Ontario, Canada, Alfred Nunney, 20, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in County Sussex, England; that his next of kin was his brother, Stephen Nunney, who resided at 325 Victoria Street, Kingston, Ontario [EDITORS NOTE: Originally the residence of Stephen Nunney was "not known", this was crossed out]; that he was born October 7, 1894; that he was a labourer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 2-1/2 inches in height; dark complexion; light blue eyes; dark brown hair. He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith. He had a scar a little below euseform to left.

On August 10, 1918, while taking part in the attack at Fouquescourt, France, he was hit in the body and instantly killed by an enemy machine gun bullet.

He is buried at Fouquescourt British Cemetery, Somme, France. [Grave Reference: I. C. 6.]
