all three children were admitted to Ratcliff Union Workhouse on April 15th 1904 'Children of Gustave' by the board, they were admitted from 3 Salmons Lane, father Gustave in South Africa,

(3 Salmons Lane was the residence in 1901 of a Walter Philips whose occupation was Solicitors (Law) Clerk)

On 27th May 1904, M Hildebrandt was discharged from Ratcliff Workhouse to P S S A 'Measles'

On 11th June 1904, Constance Hildebrandt discharged from Ratcliffe Workhouse to P S S A 'Measles'

On 27th June 1904, Ruby Hildebrandt was discharged from Ratcliff Workhouse to P S S A 'German Measles'

On 6 July 1904, Constance born 1894 and sister Margaret born 1896 were admitted to Bromley House Workhouse from 'Ratcliff', and on 13 July 1904, their sister Ruby born 1894 was also admitted. Parents Gustave and Kate, address not known, friend Walter Phillips, 3 Salmon Lane, They were sent to Stifford Homes on 9 July 1904. Ruby was sent to Edmonton Union on 22 July 1904.

In 1910, Margaret Hildebrandt, 14 (along with her sister Constance Hildebrandt, 17) arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 109 children accompanied by Mr. Merry en route to Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, Margret Hildebrandt, 15, is shown as a domestic / farm for Thomas Smith and family in Raleigh, Kent, Ontario, Canada. Her date of birth is shown as April 1896 and her immigration year as 1910.

In 1912, their sister Ruby aged 20 sailed to Canada to 'sister in service'
