A death registration was found for Elizabeth Anderson (married to James Anderson, Butcher's Salesman): Date: October 7, 1912, at 7:25 p.m. at Belvidere Hospital, Glasgow (usual residence 4 Doncaster Street); Age: 39 years; Cause: Septicemia; Acute Cellulite R. Arm; Whiltors L. Thumb; Childbirth 25 hours. [EDITORS NOTE: Family lore states that Elizabeth obtained the infection from her husband's butchers apron.]

A death registration was found for James Anderson, Butchers Assistant, Widower of Elizabeth Madeline Towers Bennie: Date: November 6, 1912, at 10:05 a.m.; Place: Western Informary, Glasgow (Residence 4 Doncaster Street); Cause: Pneumonia, 4 days. [EDITORS NOTE: Family lore states that James was so overcome with grief that he would not leave Elizabeth's grave and became ill while mourning there.]

On October 3 1920, Ernest Adolphus Anderson, 15, arrived in Canada, he declared that his aim in coming was to settle and do farm work; his destination was given as Fairknowe Home, Brockville, Ontario; that he had no known family in his home country. He stated he was born in Glasgow [Scotland].

His sister, Grace, who remained in Scotland, received a letter from Quarrier's upon her writing to them saying that Ernest was doing well in business in Canada. [EDITORS NOTE: At the age of 14, Grace went to Canada to visit her siblings.]
