A death registration was found for Elizabeth Anderson (married to James Anderson, Butcher's Salesman): Date: October 7, 1912, at 7:25 p.m. at Belvidere Hospital, Glasgow (usual residence 4 Doncaster Street); Age: 39 years; Cause: Septicemia; Acute Cellulite R. Arm; Whiltors L. Thumb; Childbirth 25 hours. [EDITORS NOTE: Family lore states that Elizabeth obtained the infection from her husband's butchers apron.]

A death registration was found for James Anderson, Butchers Assistant, Widower of Elizabeth Madeline Towers Bennie: Date: November 6, 1912, at 10:05 a.m.; Place: Western Informary, Glasgow (Residence 4 Doncaster Street); Cause: Pneumonia, 4 days. [EDITORS NOTE: Family lore states that James was so overcome with grief that he would not leave Elizabeth's grave and became ill while mourning there.]

In 1914, George Bennie Anderson, 12, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 89 Quarrier children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

Family stories state that George only had one lung from tuberculosis, yet he had to sleep in the barn while working in Canada.
