Notes According to the Hammersmith Union Removal Register, Sophia and Frances were the children of James Anderson (now absent from them) and Harriett his wife now deceased.
The following information was obtained by the Union-
That the said paupers are the lawful children of James Anderson (now absent from them) and Harriet, his wife now since deceased,
That the said James Anderson last resided for a term of 3 years upwards and until about the year 1896 at No 97 Ethelred St, at No 47 Newport St, and at other places in the parish of Lambeth in the county of London in accordance with the provisions of the Statute 39140?? B???
That the said paupers are further settled in the parish of Lambeth by reason of birth therein at 97 Ethelred St on or about 22 March 1894 and No 47 Newport St on or about 28 March 1896 respectively
On September 19 1900, Sophia Anderson, born 1895, admitted to Union School for Hammersmith Workhouse, her sister Frances joined her on November 22 1900
Sophia was admitted for a second time on 15 August 1901
On January 4 1902, an order was made to remove Sophia Esther Anderson, 7, and her sister Frances Elsie, 5, from Hammersmith Parish, the notice was received by Lambeth Union on January 7 1902, the childrens address was given as West London District School, Ashford, they had been maintained there from 7 January 1902 to 27 January 1902, the fee for this period was paid on 28 May 1902
Sophia Anderson, 9, Admitted to Norwood Old Schools on August 5 1903 from 'New Schools' , discharged on 15 August 1903 to 'New Schools'
