He was described as tall; medium build; light grey eyes; dark brown hair.

Widnum Anderson married Hettie Richter in Detroit, Michigan.

At least one child was born of this marriage: Douglas W. Anderson, born May 12, 1919, in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, USA, died September 30, 1987, Taylor, Wayne, Michigan, USA.

Hattie I Richter Anderson died April 2, 1989, in Macomb, Michigan, USA. She is buried Michigan at Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock, Wayne, Michigan, USA [Plot: Woodland II crypt].
