Notes In 1908, Harvey Allen, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 25 children from the National Childrens Home & Orphanage accompanied by B. G. Simmons and Mrs. Francis, and en route to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Harry was told he had no relatives. He was first placed on a farm in Millgrove, Ontario, Canada, with J. Lambier. He was treated fairly well.
Went to war in 1918.
On August 30, 1927, at Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Harry Edward Allen, 29, laborer, born in Lancashire, England, to Samuel Allen, mother unknown; and Stella Chase, 15, born in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, to Hubert Chase, mother unknown [noted that Stella Chase is a ward of the Hamilton Children's Aid Society].
He died in February, 1963. Harry Edward Allen is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, in the military section, located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
