NotesIn 1876, Thomas Abbott, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, apparently traveling together with John Lynch, 16, mechanic.

On July 11, 1885, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Thomas Abbott, 21, groom, born in Ireland, to Thomas and Joanna Abbott; and another home child, Epsie Susan Gray (her real name was Hepzibah Susan Gray), 17, born in England to Thomas and Emily Sarah Gray.

Thomas and Epsie Susan Gray Abbott had at least 5 children: Joseph Francis Abbott, born July 20, 1888; Maud Louis Abbott, born December 8, 1885; Emily Abbott, born 1891; Joseph Abbott, born April 3, 1906; and Thomas Abbott, born March 8, 1892 and died September 2, 1893 of cholera and inflammation, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada.

In 1891, Epsie Abbott was residing with two of her children, Joseph and Emily, as a lodger in Toronto, Ontario.
