In 1910, Florence Abel, 7 (along with siblings, Queenie V. Abel, 10; and Albert Abel, 9), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 95 children from Barnardos en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, Florence Abel/Ibel, 8, living with her mother Isabella in Hespeler, Waterloo, Ontario. The mother and older children arrived in June 1910 and the younger children followed with Barnardos the next month.
