In 1886, Arthur E. Ackland, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 190 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

On September 11, 1912, at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a marriage was registered between Arthur Edward Acland and Annie Rose Chapman. (Registration Number: 1912-09-069875.)

On May 1, 1918, at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Lieut. Arthur Edward Acland enlisted as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.
