On October 27, 1929, Nelson Appleby, 19, truck driver, died of a fractured skull, complicated by meningitis, received as a result of a motor accident. He had been at his place of employment for 1 week and his referred to as a "Barnardo Home Boy" with no names of parents listed. He was buried in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
