In October 1910, Henry F. Adams, 31, farm labourer, entered the United States through the port of Detroit, Michigan. He declared that he resided in Ruthwen, Ontario, Canada; that he had no relations in Canada; that he carried $31 on his person; that he would be staying in a boarding house at 55 Hobart Street, Detroit, Michigan. He was described as 5 foot 8-1/2 inches in height; dark complexion; dark brown eyes; dark brown hair. He immigrated in 1893 on the ship Labrador from England, landing in Portland, Maine.
On March 11, 1912, at Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Henry F. Adams, 32, carpenter, born in Brighton, England, to Wm and Mary Adams; and Hattie Fleming, 32, born in Ruthton, Ontario, Canada, to Joseph Fleming and Sarah Mills. Both resided in Michigan.
Henry and Hattie Fleming Adams had one child: Olive Austin Adams.
