NotesIn 1908, Gladys Adams, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of Barnardo children consisting of 109 girls and 219 boys accompanied by Mr. Lloyd and en route to Toronto and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On November 12, 1918, at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Gladys Adams, 20, born in England to unknown parents; and Arthur Hotchin Peatman, 25, Quaker Oat miller, born in England to George Peatman and Eliza Hotchin.

On January 28, 1919, Arthur Hotchin Peatman died at St. Josephs Hospital, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 25. He died of aortic and mitral regugitation (6 years duration). He was buried in Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On September 2, 1922, at Brant, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Lillian Gladys Peatman, widow, 24, domestic, born in England to unknown parents; and Cyril Webb, 28, painter, born in Nottingham, England, to Thomas Webb and Sarah Ann Young.
