Notes In 1924, Thomas Reginald Alford, 12, arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in a group of 105 Barnard children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On his entry to Canada, Thomas declared that his next of kin was Guardians of Mere Union, Wiltshire; that he intended to do farm work; and that he was born in Wiltshire, England.
On 6 Feb 1933, Thomas Reginal [sic] Alford, 21, farming, returned to England, on SS Montclare. He gave his address as Gillingham, Dorset and declared his intended permanent residence would be in England.
In Apr Qtr of 1941 Thomas R Alford married to either a Miss Miles or Miss Baggott
