A death registration was found for Robert Abigail: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1843; Year of Registration: 1883; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Age at Death: 40; District: Hackney; County: Greater London, London, Middlesex; Volume: 1b; Page: 269.

In 1885, J. Abigail, 9, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 153 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Frederick Abigail married Eliza Jane Staples (nee Lee - widow of Richard Newton Staples) on November 2, 1902 in Manitoba, Canada. The couple had at least 5 children: Leonard Delburt Abigail, born about 1915 (died in World War II on September 18, 1945); Beatrice Abigail, born about 1904; Frederick Beverley ("Bev") Abigail, born about 1907 (died March 11, 1990); Aubry Clayton Abigail, born about 1909 (died 1987); and Myrtle Helen Abigail, born April 12, 1911 (died November 25, 1995).

In 1924, Beatrice Abigail, 20, domestic, crossed over to the United States through Port Huron, Michigan. She stated her contact in Canada was her father, Mr. Frederick Abigail, who resided at Benito, Canada.

Eliza Abigail died on November 10, 1959. Her death notice was printed in the Winnipeg Free Press on Friday, November 13, 1959:

ABIGAIL--On November 10, 1959, at the St. Boniface Hosptial, Mrs. Elizabeth Abigail, aged 85 years of Benito, Manitoba. Remains being forwarded to Kenville, Manitoba for funeral service. Interment on Saturday. Arrangements by Kerr's Funeral Chapel.
